The Mine
Design, Operations & Closure Conference is gearing up for another
gathering. The Conference, now preparing for its 14th year, has been praised for its
educational offerings on the latest in mine design, operation, and cleanup
methods and technologies.
The
Conference will once again offer three days of General Session
presentations, as well as two, full-day short courses.
We look

Foam
Concepts will be hosting a Hospitality
Suite
on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Dennis Dunham of Foam Concepts will present a slide show
discussing past projects involving PUF. The presentation will include
mine closures (shafts, adits, portals), bat friendly closures, subsidence
feature sealing (cracks, intersection caves), environmental uses, and
plugging wells, coreholes, and stream beds. A simulation of an actual
shaft closure (bench scale) will be also be shown, and participants will
be able to mix and pour foam.
